Toro Rosso have shared in the problems that have surfaced during testing with the Renault powerunits but like usual the boys from Faenza seem to have gone about their business quietly. Furthermore, looking for more aerodynamic performance they arrived at the last test with a new nose. Their ungainly 'finger' nose is never going to win them any style awards and the latest incarnation does little to improve matters.
The new nose (old one inset) features a concave upper surface just aft of the finger extension reducing the chances of the airflow spilling off the side, isolating the airflow. This has also led to the arc'd sections beside the finger extension to be extruded upward, further extending the passage of airflow to the chassis/splitter/floor etc aft of it.
